The Vision

Living Word Mission started as an Outreach Ministry (Service of God) of Love Temple Community Outreach Center, Church Of God In Christ, Dover, Delaware. Where the Pastor is The Elder Louis Bowers, Sr. Love Temple is truly a ministry of Love. Pastor Louis E. Bowers is a man of God that reflects and has been blessed with A Ministry of Love. It was through this love that this ministry was able to be released, Elder Bowe and Missionary Bowe to continue this labor of Love.

Living Word Ministry, now The Living Word Mission the vision was give to The Elder Larry David Bowe and wife Missionary Felicia C. Bowe as a call to continue and complete the work started by Mother Esther Cuffee, of Dover, Delaware. Elder Larry D. Bowe was called to ministry in February of 1993 at Love Temple under the tutelage of Elder Louis Bowers, Sr. Ordained an Elder in August of 1998 under The Bishop L.T. Blackshear, Church of God In Christ, Jurisdiction of Delaware.

When at Love Temple Elder Bowe faithfully served in various positions of ministry. Men In Christ; men's ministry for Love Temple Men, Coordinator of Programs; coordinating auxiliaries and ministry activities to ensure completion of mission, Prison Ministry; Outreach into Denton Correction, Denton, MD, Stevenson House Detention Center (teen & adolescence detention), Milford Delaware, Delaware Correction Center, Smyrna, Delaware, Nursing Home Ministry; Integrated Healthcare systems (Green Valley) , Smyrna, Delaware, Caroline Nursing Home, in Denton, Maryland, Vice President (now President) of State Jurisdiction of Delaware Missions Department. Missionary Bowe faithfully served as President of the District Home and foreign Missions Department, President of Love Temple Missions Department, President of Love Temple Brown Bag and Food Panty , Teacher and coordinator of Love Temple, (YWCC) Young Women's Christian Counsel, President of Benevolence and other annual services and Activities as the Pastor called and the leading of The Holy Spirit Called them to serve. Currently she serves as State Jurisdiction President, (YWCC) Young Women's Christian Counsel.

The call to lead a congregation of saints was made in the spring of 1999. When Ministering at Denton Correction Center. After Ministering in Word to a group of Women, one of which was back after leaving prison for only two months. The need to come to Denton to minister to them that were in poisoned to fears and principles of this world; Isaiah 42:7, 7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, [and] them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.. Teach them Kingdom Principles, call them to rest, Matthew 11:28-30. 28 Come unto me, all [ye] that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Living Word Mission (The Public Church) was started in February 2005 with Elder Bowe, Missionary Bowe, (Missionary Bowes' Mother) Missionary Starr Hargraves and her husband, Now Deacon Reuben Hargraves. Since then, The Lord has lead Elder Bowe to reach out to the family- in the teaching series " The Battle for the souls of our family ", after which many of Mother Cuffee's' children and grand children, Elder Bowe's family have come into the ministry to serve and walk in the power of The Kingdom of God.
